Power Integrations company today introduced four LEDs suitable for PAR30 and PAR38 driver reference design for bulbs. These four designs were jointly developed by Power Integrations and CREE, which embody LYTSwitch™ of Power Integrations. -4 driver IC and cree mt- Perfect combination of G2 EasyWhite LED. DER-364 and DER- 365 respectively introduces the low-voltage and high-voltage PAR 30 LED bulb drivers, DER-350 and DER- 396 corresponds to low voltage and high voltage PAR 38 bulbs respectively. LYTSwitch- The 4 IC has extremely high energy efficiency and can provide accurate output current adjustment for bulb and lamp replacement applications and industrial miner's lamp lighting. The device can not only simplify the design and reduce the cost, but also ensure that the lighting lamp provides consistent light output and excellent performance in SCR dimming applications. LYTSwitch-4 IC adopts PFC and constant current (CC) Combined single-stage topology, so the power factor can exceed 0. 95, usually more than 90% efficiency. The single-stage topology can also eliminate large-capacity electrolytic capacitors that are sensitive to temperature, thus greatly improving the reliability and service life of bulbs. In addition, LYTSwitch-4 IC can be used at high switching frequencies (132 kHz) In this way, smaller and cheaper cores can be used in the design, and frequency jitter technology can also reduce the demand for EMI filtering. The combination of these factors enables the LED driver design to be easily loaded into bulbs with limited space.
The new drive-based design can easily meet EN61000-3-Total harmonic distortion of 2C (THD) Standard, and can provide THD below 10%. In the load range and production environment, the adjustment rate is better /- 5%, thus reducing the need for over-design and easily meeting the minimum brightness target value, thus reducing the system cost. LYTSwitch- The driver is used in conjunction with the front or back edge silicon controlled dimmer to achieve excellent dimming performance at low conduction angles. The start-up speed of the driver is very fast, usually less than 500 milliseconds. Even when the light output is turned on less than 10%, the start-up speed is also very fast, and the sudden brightening phenomenon is virtually eliminated.
